Position Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Work from Home/Downtown Sacramento, CA

Employment Status: Full-Time – 40 hours/week

Reports to: Executive Director

Compensation: $60,000 – $65,000 and Competitive Benefits Package (includes CalPERS)

Under the leadership of the executive director, the administrative assistant is responsible for administrative, programmatic, operational, and policy support duties for EDGE. This position directly supports the executive director, policy director, and program director.


• Record meeting minutes

• Electronic filing

• Document creation, proofreading, and editing

• Maintain email lists and rosters

• Design and distribute mass emails

• Coordinate travel arrangements for staff and board members

• Event planning and coordination; includes locating venues, managing registration, and attending meetings to provide onsite support

• Coordinate and implement social media plan and calendar

• Lead social media maintenance and content development

• Support community outreach activities

• Website updates

• Participate in regular team meetings and office staff meetings

• Attend local, regional, and statewide meetings and provide logistical support

• Answer phone and email inquiries

• Assist with accounting duties

• Scheduling and calendar management

• Other duties as assigned


• Experience in an office environment

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Highly organized and detail-oriented

• Experience with basic graphic editing software, Zoom, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and mass email distribution software such as MailChimp

• Willing to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends

• Collaborative and diplomatic team working style, with excellent interpersonal skills

• Strong time management and organizational skills with flexibility to manage a variety of tasks

• Good problem-solving skills

• Reliable and dependable

• High level of professionalism

• Comfortable working in a remote office environment
